今日，8 月 13 日，是我父亲的生日。我的父亲出生于 1956 年，他已经退休了好些年。我来算一算具体是多少年，到今年 2024 年，已经是（2024-1956-60）=8 年了，时光真是如白驹过隙。
父亲，您陪伴我度过了无数的日夜。您的爱如同温暖的阳光，始终照耀着我成长的道路。“谁言寸草心，报得三春晖。”您养育我的恩情，我此生都难以报答。
今天，我来到文殊院，为您和所有的亲人点燃香蜡祈福，祈求平安健康。在这里，我双手合十，在心中默默诵读《心经》，祈求菩萨保佑您一切顺利。
“色不异空，空不异色，色即是空，空即是色。”人生如梦如幻，父亲，您历经岁月的洗礼，却始终保持着那份善良和坚毅。您用坚实的双肩为这个家撑起一片天空，让我们在您的庇护下茁壮成长。
去年夏天，我做了心脏手术。您和我的爱人在手术室外焦急地等待。我知道您有多么担心，您的爱和关怀让我心中充满温暖。在那段艰难的时光里，您的陪伴是我最大的力量和安慰。我真的非常感激您能一直在我身边。

Today, August 13th, is my father's birthday. My father was born in 1956. He has been retired for many years. I haven't really calculated exactly how many years it has been. Let me do the math now. As of this year, 2023, it has been (2023 - 1956 - 60) = 7 years since his retirement. Time really flies by so quickly.
Father, you have accompanied me through countless days and nights. Your love is like the warm sunshine, always shining on my path of growth. "Who can say that the heart of an inch-long plant can requite the radiance of full spring?" The kindness and grace you have shown me in raising me, I can never fully repay in this lifetime.
Today, I came to the Wenshu Monastery to light incense and candles for you and all our relatives to pray for peace and health. Here, I hold my hands together and silently recite the "Heart Sutra" in my heart, praying that the Bodhisattva will bless you with all smoothness.
"Form does not differ from emptiness; emptiness does not differ from form. Form is emptiness; emptiness is form." Life is like a dream and an illusion. Father, you have experienced the baptism of years, but you have always maintained that kindness and perseverance. You used your strong shoulders to hold up a sky for this family, allowing us to grow up safely under your protection.
Now that you have retired, I hope you can fully enjoy the beauty of life. "Picking chrysanthemums under the eastern hedge, I leisurely view the distant southern mountains." I wish your life to be like a poem and a painting, free and leisurely.
Last summer, I had a heart surgery. You and my beloved were waiting outside the operating room. I know how worried you were, and your love and concern filled my heart. During that difficult time, your presence was my greatest strength and comfort. I am so grateful to have you by my side.
Father, happy birthday to you! I wish you to have such a happy moment every year. May your life be as evergreen as a pine and as majestic as a mountain. I will always be by your side, just as you have always been with me.
"All conditioned phenomena are like a dream, an illusion, a bubble, and a shadow. They are like dew and lightning, and should be regarded thus." No matter how time passes, my love for you will never change. I wish you all the best in the days to come, and happiness that lasts for a long time.
